Shane Hussey has extensive mediation experience and training, as well as being acknowledged as one of New Zealand’s leading expert witnesses in financial matters. As such, he is able to deliver a unique skill set as a mediator.

We provide a full range of accounting and taxation services ranging from traditional financial statement / tax return preparation through to personal asset planning and review and providing general commercial advice and assistance.
Shane Hussey is the Hussey & Co principal. He established Hussey & Co in 1997 and oversees all aspects of the practice.
Shane has vast experience in all areas of the practice, including valuation, assessment of economic losses, financial investigations and relationship property matters. He also provides professional commercial and business advice.
Shane often gives independent expert evidence before the Courts and other Tribunals and has been appointed by the Auckland District Law Society, the High Court, and other parties to undertake valuations, investigations and determinations.
Shane has completed advanced mediation training at Harvard Law School, received formal mediation training from the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand and now acts as a mediator. Mediations can be held at his offices in Central Auckland. He also accepts engagements outside of Auckland. Whilst he is experienced in the mediation of numerous types of disputes, he brings particular expertise in disputes involving relationship property matters, disputes involving assessment of economic loss and commercial valuation, and in disputes involving complex financial arrangements.
